This position is responsible for developing the product as a member of a feature delivery team in the agile delivery method.
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
· Proficient in Agile project lifecycle
· Demonstrated ability to write high-quality software
· 5-10 years of PHP experience
· Able to write efficient and complex SQL queries
· Be familiar with current standards in:
o Continuous integration
o Test-driven development
o PHP architecture and plug in frameworks
o MySQL or other relational database’s
· High sense of urgency & desire to succeed
· Bachelor of Computer Science degree with emphasis in Software Engineering
Team interaction
· Use agile to prioritize and execute development efforts
· Consults and/or participates in the requirements, design and coding walkthroughs to ensure the development of quality solutions
· Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to develop and implement process improvements and controls to the foundations work streams to standardize processes, improving quality, and reduce risk
Design and Problem Solving
· Solve increasingly complex problems through investigation and critical thinking
· Design interactions with new and emerging enterprise initiatives
· Creates and maintains design documentation
· Supports business planning, analysis, and reporting in support of goals and complex aspects of projects
Development
· Develop web-based user interfaces and web applications
Testing/Debugging
· Analyze existing applications, systems, databases, interfaces and/or hardware
· Tests increasingly complex program changes thoroughly to ensure accuracy
· Prepares and/or generates test data
Support
· Proactively identifies problems and presents/develops solutions
· Resolves technical issues through debugging, research and investigation
· Provide support for production applications in a timely manner
