The role

Account Managers provide liaison between ITG and the client, capturing requirements, managing budgets, and facilitating the delivery of enterprise level projects. It is the responsibility of the Technical Account Manager to communicate between the team and any internal or external stakeholders who are interested in utilising one of our leading digital platforms. They are accountable for the management and technical delivery of any technical integrations that are accepted. They are responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring the requirements, objectives and expectations of clients are always met. Reporting to the Business Unit Director, this is a key role in our digital account handling team.

Responsibilities and duties

  • Specific to the Technical Account Manager role:
  • Running and managing a technical help desk, directing enquiries and requests into the relevant team/resource
  • Schedule negotiations with third parties interested in integrations where relevant
  • Prioritise current outstanding requests within the helpdesk team
  • Prioritise outstanding issues with other development teams in conjunction with the Business - Analyst and Product Owner(s)
  • Report to senior management on a weekly basis
  • Ensuring SLA’s and communication deadlines are followed and achieved.
  • Carry out regular service reviews to gather feedback and identify strengths and areas for improvement

Requirements

About you

As an experienced Technical Account Manager, we’ll expect that you are naturally able to handle responsibility and pressure to deliver real digital insight, ideas and innovation and ultimately solutions that can transform their business for the better. A good grip on, and real interest in, the technology behind the web is a must.

The essentials:

  • Previous digital experience of working as an account manager within a marketing agency / marketing department client side / IT or Software provider
  • Previous experience of managing web projects / software helpdesk preferably with experience of multiple methodologies, including both Agile and Waterfall
  • Excellent client facing, presentation and communication skills
  • Good written, verbal, and numerical skills
  • Bright, motivated, and driven, with the motivation to lead by example
  • Positive thinker, with a can-do, will-do attitude
  • Enjoy a fast-paced digital agency environment
  • A team player of the highest order who is self-starter and able to make their own decision
