Who You’ll Work With

You will work in Data & Analytics Technologies organization that is responsible for building cloud-based analytics products for APAC, EMEA, Americas and Corporate that directly impacts Coca-Cola’s business growth globally.

What You’ll Do

This role, reporting to Head of Data Engineering will drive the development of data pipelines, warehouses and marts for key subject areas based on annual objectives. This role will work cross functionally with Data Services organization, Product management, Data Governance, and engineers to understand data requirements and implement an enterprise-grade data products.

• Recruit and lead a team of data engineers, data architects, system architects.

• Mentor and coach Big Data teams on design, architecture, and implementation of end-to-end data products.

• Evangelize and establish best practices, frameworks, and processes across data engineering and analytics.

• Oversee technical strategy and architecture across data integration, data lake, data warehousing and data access layers.

• Lead metadata management implementation efforts aligning with Data Governance team.

• Drive the design and implementation of data privacy and security related processes across data lake, warehouses, and Business Intelligence layers.

• Develop strong relationships with analytics leaders across the system to improve how data is leveraged.

• Lead and manage the engagement with technical partners including offshore, consulting and technology partners.

• Optimize the azure services for different workloads (batch, streaming, ad-hoc queries, ETL, ML etc.) and cost.

• Manage own learning and contribute to technical skill building of the organization.

• Inspire and cultivate the engineering mindset and systems thinking within the team.

• Ensure conceptual and architectural integrity of the platform and solution.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience building, leading and inspiring effective data engineering teams building scalable data and analytics solutions.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in modern data architecture and data modeling.

• Proven experience in developing data solutions in Cloud (Azure preferred) and/or Hadoop Ecosystem (Kafka, Hive/Impala, HDFS, HBase, Spark and Spark Streaming).

• Proven experience with one of Business Intelligence Tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Looker, Domo).

• Data & Analytics specialization – deep analytical expertise in one or more of the following: CPG, FMCG, Retail, Supply chain & Logistics, FP&A.

• Proven experience in automating data life cycle management, metadata management and master data management (MDM).

• Experience implementing perimeter security, data access policies and privacy controls.

• Good understanding of distributed computing and big data architectures.

• Polyglot development (4-5 years+): Capable of developing in Java/Scala or Python with good understanding of functional programming, SOLID principles and concurrency models and modularization.

• Familiarity with the advertising and marketing landscape.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with ETL tools like Informatica, Talend, Pentaho, Attunity etc.

• Experience with Big Data migrations/transformations programs in the Data Warehousing and/or Business Intelligence areas. Knowledge of Teradata, Netezza & Informatica etc.

• Good grounding in NoSQL data stores such as Cassandra, Neo4j etc.

• Experience in building event-driven architectures leveraging serverless offerings.

• Experience working with modern data integration platforms such as (Fivetran, Stitchdata, Funnel.io, Datorama etc.).

• Training & Operationalizing ML models using Spark ML, Databricks MLFlow or Azure ML.
