Responsibilities:
- As an experienced software engineer you will build applications which are delivered on cloud-based services in disruptive environments with microservices architectures
- Work as an integral part of a cross functional product team in identifying and planning outcomes to meet business and customer needs
- Take ownership of tools and processes and new tools and techniques that can be utilized in the team
- Develop and maintain expertise in best practice development methodologies and techniques
- Coach and mentor others in achieving your exacting standards
The Person:
Skills & Experience:
- Strong understanding of agile principles and their day-to-day application within the software development lifecycle
- Strong collaboration and communication skills within distributed product teams
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture design and implementations
- Strong development background in frontend or backend enterprise languages and frameworks (e.g., Typescript, React, Java, Go, Spring Boot)
- Strong experience consuming, building and maintaining APIs (e.g., REST, GraphQL)
- Relational database design and optimization (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL)
- Experience using cloud-based services (e.g., AWS) and multiple deployment approaches (e.g., Docker, Lambdas, Kubernetes)
- Experience with messaging across distributed systems (e.g., via Kafka)
- Experience deploying code and infrastructure through CI/CD pipelines and IaC
