We are a small team, who like to work together to deliver applications that exceed our customer’s expectations. The work can be varied taking you from a story continuity application for EastEnders, to the compliance tool used across the BBC for all television channels, or the application used by drama commissioning and BBC films to shortlist ideas.
We use Angular, Node, JavaScript, PHP (Laravel), MySQL, HTML and CSS. We build web applications, and currently have 11 live and two in active development; one of these being the new delivery portal for BBC content.

We are looking for someone with web development experience, that has experience working in an agile team, or is eager to learn agile methodologies.
Your responsibilities will include;
• Developing and implementing tasks, features and bug fixes from JIRA for new and existing web applications. • Working on and developing web components for use in medium-sized web applications. • Style web pages using SASS/CSS. • Identify where bugs exist and fix them using Javascript. • Help to maintain our team-built Angular framework/stack. • Be involved in new projects from the beginning by engaging with other teams and stakeholders to understand what needs to be built. • Work closely with the rest of the development team. • Work closely with the Product Manager to help shape our applications based on customer feedback. • Giving updates in daily stand ups, retros and planning sessions.
Are you the right candidate?
• Web development experience with a front-end or full stack focus. • Good understanding of HTML, CSS & Javascript. • Experience with a JS framework such as Angular JS, Angular or React a bonus. • Understanding of the principles of web accessibility, or have an interest in web accessibility. • Interest in user experience/interface design a bonus. • Experience working in agile team, or is eager to learn agile methodologies. • Enjoys working as part of a team with a focus on creating a great product. • Driven to find new and better ways of doing things. • Experience working in media or video/TV production a bonus.
