About You

We are looking for a motivated JavaScript Developer to come join our agile team of professionals. Our ideal candidate will have experience implementing JavaScript applications with an emphasis on optimization to work with our customer; Europe’s leading media and entertainment brand.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver reliable, scalable, and efficient business solutions by supporting all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Produce quality, clean code - making changes to front and back-end, improving the way code is tested and deployed
• Optimize application for scalability and speed
• Produce reusable, efficient, and scalable code and libraries
• Design and implement applications that are written in JavaScript

Requirements

• Expert knowledge of JavaScript with a strong understanding of JavaScript fundamentals such as prototype inheritance, composition, CommonJS/AMD module systems using RequireJS
• Experience in building SVOD products is a big plus - streaming technology, video players, video, and streaming protocol.
• Full-stack web development experience
• You have experience with SDLC (software development life cycle) projects and are able to prioritize tasks and projects accordingly
• You have a working understanding of domestic and localized international versioning (multiple languages, Standards, Practice review, and version management)
• Creative thinking and analytical skills, with attention to detail

Nice to have

• Experience in broadcast/broadband television, Video-On-Demand or SVOD
• You understand order management and media distribution workflows
