We have over 500 staff, and operate multiple award-winning B2C brands including Racing Post, MyRacing, Soccerbase & Free Super Tips in the UK. In the US we operate Pickswise & Fantasy Alarm. Our other businesses in the group are ICS-digital and ICS-translate. Our global B2B division provides sports betting and fantasy sports content, media partnerships (including a joint venture with Spanish publisher, AS) & much more.

Job purpose:

Through the management of all analytical tracking requirements, across the entire digital suite of products within SSG, the role will be pivotal in realising the organisation's ambitions to be a truly data driven organisation.

In order to help deliver a first class data service, and implement business critical digital analytics tracking requirements, the role is responsible for overseeing and managing the deployment of our third-party tag management solution. In addition to speed of delivery the role responsibilities also include, documentation of technical requirements, delivery of best in class solutions, and agreement to adhere to best practice, ensuring data accuracy and site performance. Stakeholder management is critical as the role will be required to work closely with Commercial Advertising, Product and Marketing.

Accountabilities:

Tracking implementation

  • Oversee the management and implementation of all analytics requirements via our Customer Data Platform (Segment.io)
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of integrations set up between CDP and vendors
  • Document Data Layer requirements for implementation across website properties
  • Implement third party analytics tracking requirements through Google Tag Manager
  • Define, create and maintain testing processes, working with development teams on deployment, user acceptance testing and implementation
  • Document detailed technical requirements for product and development teams
  • Assist development teams and stakeholders with deployment and auditing of third party site tagging
  • Diagnose issues with existing platform configurations and tags, and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Work with third parties to resolve discrepancies or platform issues

Requirements:

Essential

  • Demonstrable experience with Tag Management software (GTM or other)
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, PHP and ability to custom code in JavaScript
  • Strong understanding of Google Analytics
  • Desire to work in data analytics field
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Ability to take responsibility and work using own initiative
  • Ability to problem solve and think logically
  • IT literate, including good operational knowledge of Microsoft packages

Desirable

  • Google Analytics GAIQ certified
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience with Segment (Customer data platform)
  • Experience with Firebase Experience with JIRA Knowledge of Marketing tools (AppsFlyer, Braze, Salesforce)
    A degree in either mathematics, statistics or computer science
