Back End Developer at ScoreApp

About the role

We are looking for a senior back end developer experienced in PHP and Laravel. Day to day, you will be working alongside our highly talented team of developers, directly contributing to the features and functionality within our core application, working on creating API’s, new third party integrations and improving existing code. This is a remote position, but you must be UK based. Should you be local to the Milton Keynes office there will be the option for regular visits IRL.

Role activities and responsibilities

• Effectively contribute to the development of new and innovative features within the core ScoreApp platform
• Develop entirely new third party integrations as well as improve existing ones.
• Write testable and maintainable code following coding standards and best practices
• Write code that runs efficiently and is scalable
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with the product owner and the rest of the development team

Essential skills and experience

• Expert level PHP / OOP coder
• At least 3 years working within a software engineering team
• Excellent understanding of the Laravel framework
• Experience working with the SOLID principles
• Experience working with web services and APIs.
• Experience writing unit tests
