Cloud DevOps Engineer
Job Description:
Raytheon Technologies Enterprise Services is seeking a highly motivated Cloud DevOps Engineer to support Identity Management systems, services, development, and implementation of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) software release processes and tools both in the cloud and on-premises. This full-time employee will work with containers and container orchestration software, to include maintaining interfaces and feeds to/from the LDAP system. The candidate is expected to become proficient with the Raytheon Technologies Directory Services CI/CD pipeline, cloud presence and on-premises infrastructure. Experience working with Linux systems is a requirement.
A combination of having strong technical/product knowledge, relationship building skills, and customer service skills makes you the ideal candidate for this opportunity. The job will involve following precise processes and procedures to ensure compliance with Raytheon Technologies security policies, government requirements, industry standards, and internal organizational mandates. The candidate will also be given ample opportunity to develop skills working with multiple identity services and cloud platforms (LDAP, Active Directory, SecurID, PKI, SSO, Azure, and AWS).
Required Skills:
• 1-3 years with AWS and/or Azure
• 1-3 years with containerd, Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes
• 1-3 years with Rancher or similar container orchestration management software
• Experience designing, implementing, and supporting DevOps CI/CD tools such as GitLab
• Experience with application support
• Experience working on Linux systems
• Experience with YAML configuration
• Experience building, installing, and deploying Perl/Python RPMs
• Experience with Git or similar version control systems
• Experience with log file analysis
• Strong software and network debugging skills
• Excellent documentation and process management skills
• Works well with team members in diverse geographic locations to develop secure solutions for customer requests
• Ability to understand and apply security policies and procedures to customer solutions
• Self-starter, able to work well with little supervision
• Strong communication skills
Desired Skills:
• Experience with Ansible
• Experience working with command line interfaces for updates
• Define and present DevOps and test-based metrics used to predict the completeness and quality of software modules
• 1-2 years of experience working with LDAP software
• Experience maintaining Python, Perl or Shell scripts
• Support IT with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of software tools
• Knowledge of UNIX and/or Linux scripting tools
• Remote system support, Linux monitoring tools
• Interfacing large and diverse hardware and software systems
• Background working with Identity Systems
• Background in IT Security
Required Education (including degree): Bachelor's degree in Information Systems/Technology, Computer Science or other related technical field or equivalent experience.
