A bit about the role…
Costa Coffee is looking to augment our web engineering team with a full stack AWS developer using Lambda, DynamoDB and the AWS Serverless Framework. We are looking for an individual who is fluent in JavaScript, Node.js, TypeScript, and comfortable with GraphQL. The first exciting opportunity in this role is to setup a serverless architecture for a greenfield initiative. You will be bringing together best-practice AWS technologies and engines built by global teams for Costa, and create the basis of a global initiative with a major business-wide impact. You will be supported by our team of Solutions Architects, Cloud Engineers and Technical Product Owners to enable you to grow your skills and succeed in your role. In this role, you will be paving the way to integrating proven technologies under separate domains and bringing them together to support the growth of the business around the world. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with highly skilled international teams who built these technologies, and use them to setup Costa solutions internationally. Our tech stack is modern and serverless with AWS serverless technologies at the back-end, CI/CD via GitHub Actions, CMS by Contentful, and hosting powered by Akamai.
A bit about you…
• Displays an exceptional understanding of AWS and serverless technologies including AWS Lambda, AWS API Gateway, as well as Node.js and TypeScript. • Exceptional knowledge of APIs, including Rest and GraphQL. • Able to design and implement enterprise scale middleware to support business requirements. • Able to work with Amazon ECS and Docker. • Embraces Continuous Integration as a key part of their development and delivery processes. • Practicing agile methodologies, with an agile mindset. • Exposure to serverless application architectures in AWS Lambda • Delivering key features at pace in a fast-moving environment. • Extensive experience delivering full stack applications through the whole software development lifecycle from initiation to execution and maintenance. • Building and documenting RESTful and GraphQL APIs. • Creating and maintaining architectural documentation. • Delivering secure web applications that conform to OWASP and security standards.
