About Role - Remote Team Lead (PHP-LARAVEL)

A UK based digital agency is developing projects and campaigns for their client base across the UK and overseas.

This is a full time permanent remote role and requires fluency in written and verbal English.

You will be reporting directly to the Product Manager based in the UK. As Team Lead (PHP-LARAVEL, you’ll participate in all development aspects of the solution. Your mission will be to drive the progress of the web application and the development team while providing the best user experience imaginable.

As our Team Lead PHP-LARAVEL, you’ll be responsible for

• Specifying and planning Laravel projects
• Training & mentoring team members
• Onboarding new clients and helping form specification documents and work schedules.
• Working with customers, to achieve desired new features and bug fixes
• Use third-party APIs and web scraping tools to source data at scale.
• Shine with engineering excellence by developing test infrastructures, writing documentation, ensuring high performance, and following an agile development methodology
• Write entirely new code and maintain and update existing code
• Research on new frameworks for improving the architecture
• Ensure development best practices are followed (Clean Code, Clean Architecture, code reviews)
• Actively communicate with the stakeholders, team members, and clients

What do we value?

• Minimum 5 years of industry experience
• Have led and managed a team of 3-4 members and have delivered the project on time
• Have working experience with European /American companies & understand their culture.
• In-depth knowledge of Laravel and OOP & procedural knowledge
• Hands-on Experience in working with MySQL
• API development & integration of third party APIs
• Experience with Bug fixing tools (JIRA is preferred)
• Creative problem-solving skills.
• A results-focused mindset.
• Ability to work in a diverse, multicultural, remote-team environment.
• Great English communication skills as well as collaboration skills and strong teamwork. mentality. - You must be fluent in English.
