What You’ll do

Purpose of the Role
As Junior Developer, you work with internal business partners to analyse business needs, provide input to the business case, and deliver solutions across various technologies and systems against identified business objectives. You will help develop future service offerings and value propositions to keep Lightsource bp relevant to the market, work collaboratively with SMEs to develop standards and share knowledge. You will be knowledgeable about different technologies, development frameworks and coding languages to support and develop a variety of applications and systems across our digital estate.
Experience working with no/low code solutions and relational databases preferred
Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide excellent customer focused support by reviewing and troubleshooting issues.
• Collaborate with functional and technical stakeholders to optimize business processes.
• Understanding and articulation of industry trends and potential future directions
• Maintain robust change management documentation controls and compliance practices.
• Translate requirements into solutions to meet business needs.
• Support system integrations through integration tools and processes.
• Develop business intelligence and reporting capabilities.
• Ensure user procedures and guides are fully up to date and reflect system functionality
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Solid experience with Microsoft Office products
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (including Formulas, Pivot Tables)
• Outstanding analytical abilities, precision, a results-driven orientation, and an aptitude for problem-solving
• Confidence with technology and fast learne
• Good people and communication skills
• Rapid application development and continuous delivery
• Proficiency with a programming language such as Python, PHP, .Net
• A good understanding of SQL, XML, API’s.
• A good understanding of one or more of the following: JavaScript, JSON, Angular.js, HTML, CSS, Java.
• Knowledge around industry standard low code/RAD platforms, ideally Quickbase.
• ETL knowledge and experience
• Full stack development expertise in UI, database, and webservice integration
• Experience with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Power Platform also useful
