About the role

ICM Airport Technics is seeking a Software Development Engineer with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work as part of a high performing team, in order to develop and work with an exciting emerging technology within the field of Airline Travel.

Auto Bag Drop and Kiosk are exciting applications to work with and are very interesting and evolving spaces within the aviation industry. These applications have been implemented by ICM for years now for Auto Bag Drops as WLA (White Label Application) and dedicated applications. The new stack uses Angular on the FE side and a very light web server on the cloud. It also communicates with a set of microservices in the cloud to fulfil all the functionalities. This is a challenging role to work in any of the earlier mentioned areas (FE, BE) of the application as well as participating in the reporting done to an Elastic Server.

Main Duties

• Produce code, problem investigations, support or testing within agreed standards and timescales.
• Write operational and software documentation necessary for the application.
• Conduct analysis and contribute to joint product design efforts.
• Demonstrate initiative in contributing to problem solving, design solutions and team goals.
• Display confidence in technical skills overall independence.
• Conduct unit and package tests of the software to ensure a level of quality in line with the Amadeus guidelines.
• Take responsibility for a component of a project or a small project
• Work cooperatively to achieve team goals making constructive suggestions to move things forward.
• Develop ability to solve complex problems.

Experience Required

• Tertiary education in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Experience within the Software Development Industry.
• Proficiency in one or more - C++, JavaScript, Python, Typescript, Angular, ASP.net
• Experience in frontend / backend development
• Ability to work as part of a team.
