Systems Security Engineer

Raytheon Technologies (RTX) is seeking an experienced technical services professional to join our Cyber Threat Operations team. The Sr. CyberSecurity Engineer will perform a range of technical services; focused on operational security in support of Legal Operations infrastructure, perform system analysis and maintenance, manage daily operational server support and backups, and follow and improve processes.

Responsibilities may include:

Independently leading initiatives to architect, configure, support, and maintain operational environment to ensure compliance, efficiency, and network security. Capability to transition collection, processing, and hosting functions to virtual and/or cloud environment. Hardware/Software inventory management. Hardware and OS maintenance, incl. patching, of department specific equipment (physical & virtual) and physical security access log maintenance.

Ability to provide and implement solutions in support of eDiscovery, investigative, and forensic technical services (FTS). Interface with business function owners, enterprise services support personnel, digital infrastructure, trade compliance, technical personnel, vendors, and others.

Preferred Skills

Professional understanding of computer and networking infrastructure Experience with Microsoft environments and operating systems; including SharePoint and Active Directory Knowledge of data management, storage, and retention Strong scripting and automation experience Familiarity with tools such as Relativity, EnCase eDiscovery / Endpoint Investigator, NUIX or Splunk

Proven ability to: analyze, troubleshoot and solve problems; work in a team environment; handle several projects at a given time; prepare and maintain records and infrastructure materials; assist in efforts to preserve, move or facilitate the transfer of analyzed data to other platforms or domains; maintain the confidentiality and security of records and information with discretion; secure the cooperation of others in difficult work situations; develop and follow standard work; clearly and concisely communicate technical issues to senior management and non-technical functions; and establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers and all levels of management.

Education

Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum 10 years of experience, or an Advanced Degree and a minimum 8 years experience.

Experience/Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have minimum 10 years direct experience working in digital technology, information security, or safeguarding covered defense information and cyber incident reporting, with excellent interpersonal and analytical skills as well as a high level of motivation and can think independently with minimal supervision.

Must be a U.S. Citizen with either an active Secret security clearance or ability/desire to obtain and maintain; TS level preferred, since candidate will be responsible for systems housing sensitive information.

Research best practices and technical controls to remediate gaps or deficiencies, and put forth recommendations to address needs.
