The Role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Edinburgh Market Data team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to use the latest technology stacks to build the next generation of global scalable market data ingestion and redistribution platform in Addepar. It is the core backbone for portfolio analytics, insights, and reporting that the entire Addepar platform depends on. It is highly data intensive and extremely business critical. We want people who are passionate and care deeply about the success of the whole company. We look for driven engineers with real technical depth and a desire to understand the end business. Who You Are

  • B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or similar technical field of study (or equivalent practical experience.).
  • 4+ years experience as a professional software engineer and experience with any object-oriented programming language.
  • Deep experience in building and evolving large-scale high-traffic distributed systems
  • Previous experience in ingesting and redistributing large datasets is a plus.
  • Cross-functional experience working with product managers, QA and other stakeholders is a plus.
  • A strong ownership mindset and drive to solve the most important problems.
  • A passion for implementing best practices and a bias toward smart automation.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with and mentor other engineers.
  • Experience with European financial reporting is a plus.
