Our client, Carswell Gould, is an award-winning, integrated creative comms agency, with over 25 years of experience on the market. They are providing a full suite of marketing communications including strategy, brand, PR, social media, design and web for a huge range of clients, who value creativity, passion and quality.
To join their very busy marketing and development team, they are now looking for a self-motivated and creative Full Stack Developer to successfully bring design work to life on the web, that will deliver measurable business benefits to their comprehensive customers.
Full Stack Developer, your responsibilities:
• Collaborating with the Marketing team on building new web projects – your ideas and input matters
• Working with the Developing Team to maintain existing websites
• Creating bespoke functionality and managing front end development
• Taking ownership of testing new website functionality across all devices
• Working with IT tasks such as configure domain, email and servers
• Overseeing Carswell Gould website’s version control across development and live environments
• Handling the launch of new websites and managing issues that arise as part of this process
• Reporting errors and arranging fixes
Full Stack Developer, your skills:
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
• Working knowledge of HTML, PHP, CSS (SCSS), Javascript, jQuery and MySQL
• Enhanced understanding of WordPress – creating themes from scratch and developing bespoke plugins
• Experienced in working with custom post types and advanced custom fields (ACF), cross-browser compatibility testing, version control systems (Git), task runners, package managers, vhost management and Mac based environment
• Aware of technical developments within the web industry
• Self-motivated with ability to use own initiative
• Practical problem-solving skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and pixel perfect precision
• Receptive to challenge and change
• Experience working with Google Marketing platforms, working knowledge of technical SEO and interest in SVG animations for web and UI/UX is desirable
