The Birkbeck Centre for Technology and Publishing is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join the Janeway publishing platform software engineering team in this exciting remote working opportunity.

Joining a team of three developers you will help deliver publishing solutions to both the Open Library of Humanities and our 20 partners around the world.

You will be self-motivated and willing to work as part of a remote team. You will have experience using, developing and deploying open-source projects, preferably using Python3 and Django.

You will demonstrate proven project management and organisational skills and have a track record of successful development of software systems.

Remunerations:

Grade 8 of the College's London Pay Scale which is £45,996 rising to £54,142 per annum.

The salary quoted is on the College's London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated Weighting/Allowance which applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the London area.
