Quality Assurance Engineer

Summary of the role:

Are you the next Quality Assurance Engineer we are looking for?

• You will be part of a young validation department, which is applying a unique method of testing in running - E2E tests with a market approach to validate all the Amadeus products ecosystem.
• You will give the go ahead for products deployment or product evolutions on the market candidates.
• You will interact inside the department with several functional teams spread all over the world, you will be part of a dynamic QA community and you will feed our automatic regression team with relevant scenarios to automate.

In this role you’ll:

• Build test plan and make it review by Dev and our stakeholders.
• Define business scenarios in using a E2E test market approach integrating all the Amadeus Products ecosystem. Ensure that all the market specificities are well covered.
• Review the requirements for testability, traceability (matrix coverage) ensuring an optimal test coverage
• Run the Test plans based on customer configurations and specificities.
• Follow the defects opened during the test validation.
• Be capable to do a pre-analysis, looking deeply in traces (ALF/…) to isolate the issue.
• Interact with Dev/Pdef to ease them finding the root cause of the defects.
• Ensure compliance of the delivered functionality and system integrity and you will give your functional sign off for the other teams to move forward.
• Define the optimal test coverage for automation and you will interact with the automatic regression team.
• Participate to our QA community in exchanging ideas/initiatives/tools/…

About the ideal candidate:

Education:

• University degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
• ISTQB certification is a plus

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

Functional Skills

• Curiosity, willing to go deeper in the tests and learn the eco system of the customers to ensure no issue will be detected during UAT phase.
• Willing to learn complex products and interactions with eco system of the main customers
• Ability to manage Test processes
• Good knowledge of Amadeus travel industry reservation products and Sell connect front-end is a plus
• Good understanding of testing methodologies and industry standards
• Other Global Distribution System knowledge is a plus
• Languages: Fluent English

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of Global Distribution System (Amadeus) is a plus
• ALM/Octane
• Postman is a plus
• SOAP UI is a plus
• Python is a plus
• Webservices skills is a plus
