Job Description:

The Search, Shopping and Pricing (SSP) division develops products designed to serve multiple customer segments: providers (airlines, alliances, and railway operators), distributors (travel agencies, online travel agencies, tour operators) and new intermediaries (meta-search). The market is innovative, with a strong push from the online players (Google/ITA, Kayak, Expedia …), competitors (Vayant, Sabre) and important business model evolutions (NDC). The platform supporting these processes is of massive scale in infrastructure (100 000 cores computing the transactions), in operations (25 000 transactions per second), in data (350 million of fares, petabyte scale historical data sets), and in software (23 million lines of code).

Within SSP, the TPS (Transactions, Products and Services) division role is to:

  • Handle relationship with customer centric units
  • Expose entry points for pricing and search/shopping services.
  • Integrate and orchestrate internal and external search/shopping and pricing engines services.
  • Develop business logic on top of search/shopping and pricing engines.
  • Produce insights about search/shopping and pricing in order to feedback the system and get it trained/learnt.
  • Develop cutting-edge prototypes and incubate innovation.

In this environment, the PIO department is in charge of the pricing integration and orchestration components, which can be seen as a bridge between the Reservation world and the Pricing Engine, getting the context (Integration) and building the proper query by calling all necessary entities (Orchestration) - possibly external ones (Gateway). It is a key component contributing to many critical projects for the Airlines and Travel Channels customer units, such as NDC-X (offer and order flows), Altea NDC, Merchandising, Digital Commerce, MetaConnect, Extended Air Choice, Air Canada, South-West, Japan Airline programs... PIO department handles all the prime issuance topics (ancillary catalog and pricing, itinerary pricing, …) as well as the servicing flows (Amadeus Ticket Changer, Service Changer, …)

Summary of the role

The mission is to be the QA counterpart of SSP teams (Test strategy, Functional validation, Regression testing) to ensure that the software is at expected quality level and fits the Customer requirement. In a continuous improvement spirit, you will also contribute to the definition, implementation and rollout of quality processes and monitor Quality KPI.

Your main responsibilities

  • Implementation of test strategy
  • Definition of test cases from customer’s requirements and ensure traceability with specifications.
  • Writing of master test plan/test plans (functional and/or non-functional).
  • Improvement of regression test repository.
  • Design and performance of tests
  • Design of test cases and development of automated test case scripts.
  • Preparation of test environment, test data, and execute test cases.
  • Raise of defects and track their resolution.
  • Giving of Go/no-go for the customer’s test campaign.
  • Control of quality of project, product or release.
  • Knowledge sharing
  • Participation in specification reviews to share inputs on testing requirements.
  • Reporting and communication on test activities to the line organization, software developers and product definition analysts.
  • Learning from customer feedback
  • Contribute to the maintenance effort and Root Cause Analysis
  • Adjust the test strategy accordingly

  • A previous experience in software quality assurance and test automation
  • ISTQB foundation certification
