The Role

At MOO you will be joining the Data Engineering team, this team is responsible for building the core data platform used by Moo to deliver, monitor, and support insights and analysis.

This team is very technologically independent and an exciting young team that is driven to achieve its objectives. You will work closely with the DevOps team using a self-service cloud platform and the Analytics team who turns data into actionable dashboards for the business.

One of the key projects that you will be involved with is building out our new Data Platform using a modern ELT approach that leverages newer tools in the Data Warehouse ecosystem.

We capture huge amounts of data across the application and being a part of this team means you will be working on a business critical application that will be looking forward to how we can leverage this data to help the company grow!

The successful Senior Software Engineer will have:

Put it simply we are looking for strong Python Software Engineers with a passion for continually learning and improving.

What this means in reality:

  • Experience building applications, pipelines, or dashboards using Python (2&3) in a commercial environment.
  • Experience in working with cloud architectures (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Experience with SQL
  • Knowledge and willingness to work with Data Warehouse Platforms (Snowflake, Redshift, Postgres, MySQL, MariaDB)
  • Experience working on data-heavy applications with a want to get more involved in data engineering and pipelines

Remote Working

MOO is a remote working enabled business with operations in the UK and US. We are open to hiring people to work remotely across the UK and US East coast however, we do require employees to come to the office 8 times a year, for team events and company all hands, all expenses paid.
