Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience as a software engineer or developer

• Experience working with third-party developer tools, including documentation, APIs, SDKs, and client libraries

• Experience in mobile application and web development

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience participating in online developer communities and ecosystems (e.g., open source platforms, blogs, YouTube video series, technology conferences, hackathons, meet-ups, technical teachings, and trainings)

• Excellent programming skills in two or more languages (e.g., Java, Kotlin, C, C++, C#, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Go)

As a Developer Relations Developer, you will work with and represent third-party developer needs and perspectives. You'll use technical and ecosystem expertise to actively engage with developers and partners globally. You will educate developers on best practices, write sample code and client libraries, debug coding and other technical issues, and drive developer experience improvements. You'll work internally with Engineering and Product teams as an advocate for developers, continuously analyzing the developer ecosystem. Working on developer platforms like Google Photos, and Google Identity, you will help drive engagement, adoption, and success, effectively integrating Google APIs and services into apps.

Responsibilities

• Assist third-party developers and partners in understanding Google APIs and services. Troubleshoot integrations with Google Developer products.

• Manage and participate in developer discussion forums, troubleshoot and address concerns raised in forums, and educate developers on best practices for effective integration of Google Developer products.

• Work with Google product source and engineers to identify, reproduce, and fix issues that impact our developers and their users.

• Advocate for developers and influence product strategy, working with cross-functional teams.

• Write, release, and manage open source Software Development Kits (SDKs), demo apps, tools, samples, blog posts, technical guides, or videos. Contribute to and manage open source projects and drive standards.
