As an associate Software Engineering you will be helping to implement the APIs that are the developer interface into JPMorgan Wholesale Banking. You will help implement the tools, platforms and methods necessary to support our customers. You will work collaboratively to deliver a meaningful and comprehensive developer experience that includes developer portal, CI/CD tools, customer test sandboxes and shared services that support the community of developers. As a Software Engineering, you will work with the senior and lead Software Engineering to help set the technical direction for the team and products it builds. You will deliver quality code and operational characteristics that meet the needs of the business.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

• Experience working as a Software Engineering

• Ability to work in a global development team

• Working closely subject matter experts (business and technical) for effective delivery

• Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices

• Experience and/or knowledge of application, data, security and infrastructure design and technologies

• Experience and/or knowledge of full software lifecycle including business analysis, development, maintenance and continuous improvement

• Experience and/or knowledge of agile software delivery and working as feature team member

• Experience and/or knowledge of agile development including breaking down stories into well understood and achievable deliverables

• Design, develop, code, test, debug and document components/features to satisfy requirements

• Produce high quality code utilizing Test Driven Development and CICD techniques

• Ability to work collaboratively across teams, locations and geographies

• The ability to learn and apply quickly

Tech Stack and Essential skills:

• Experience in at least one and knowledge of other programming languages, including Java, Python, Go, and JS

• Experience in at least one and knowledge of other data tools, including: GraphQL, SQL/relational databases, Cassandra, Cockroach, noSQL and ETL tools

• Knowledge of application design and delivery, including: REST, Event, and Microservice based architectures; 12 factor based applications;

• Knowledge of a cloud platforms including Cloud Foundry, AWS, GCP or Azure; Containers

• Knowledge of automated delivery, including CI/CD – Git, Jenkins, Pipelines

• Knowledge of Telemetry and Support solutions, including application and infrastructure logging/monitoring/alerting tools; automated recovery

Desirable (but not essential):

Gogle Apigee, AEM (Content Management), Kafka, AMPs, HAProxy, Grafana, Prometheus, Geneos, Kibana, Dynatrace, Jaeger, OpenTelemetry, Zipkin, Sleuth, Splunk, Groovy, Gemfire, Hazelcast, GoldenGate or other replication
