Job Description:

Why is the role needed?

To support the busy product roadmap and make the platform “enterprise grade” the product engineering team will double this year. We are looking for Full Stack Engineers that will be excited about working on a range of features across our product and implementing new technologies into our stack.

You’ll be coached and mentored by our Senior and Lead Developers.

Tech Stack: React/React Native, Node (Express) Typescript, Webpack, Babel, Jest, Postgres, MongoDB/DocumentDB Docker, AWS, Circle CI. Github actions, Fargate, AWS Lambda, Terraform, Cypress. We also have a small enclave of C#.

What your focus will be:

  • Delivering full stack features, that might be delivering features on your own or working with a Senior on more complex features
  • Liaising with the business and product teams to fully understand requirements
  • Improving your knowledge of architecture and complex technical decision making
  • Upskilling across the stack; frontend, backend, architecture, testing, DevOps

Requirements:

  • Either strong frontend (React) or backend (Node) skills, with a desire to work full stack JavaScript or TypeScript. If you have full stack JavaScript/TypeScript experience that is great!
  • Some architectural experience
  • Foundational understanding of building enterprise products, understanding considerations such as scalability, performance, security, testing
  • Being able to speak to both technical and non-technical team members
  • Any experience in cloud infrastructure, tooling and testing. Ideally AWS and Docker

Interview Process

  • Screening call with the CTO/VP of Engineering (15-30 minutes)
  • Technical takeaway task
  • Pairing interview based on technical task + interview questions (2 hours)
