Your team
The Avaloq UK Delivery team consists of a team of highly motivated Business & Technical Consultants, Project and Program Managers and is currently looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer / Software Engineer, who would like to bring in their expertise as a Senior Technical Consultant and Engineer.
The mission of the team is to build, implement and deploy the Avaloq products and work closely with our highly-complex, dynamic and interesting bank customers.
You act as a true consultant in order to find the best solution for the client and ensure, that we bring simplicity to our clients in building and integrating API's, using SpringBoot and OpenShift. If you are looking for a combination of engineering and consulting, this is the opportunity for you.
Going forward, you would also have the opportunity to act as a mentor and coach for more junior members of the team and spread your expertise.
What you will do
• Design and develop middleware to backend codes
• Develop API using Rest services
• Design and implement new features and optimize existing ones
• Implement new and refactor unit and functional tests to ensure quality
• Proactively find bugs in our products, document the steps to reproduce them, and provide a solution
• Analyze and solve problems in our nightly builds
Qualifications
What you need
• At least a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent
• At least 5 years experience in SpringBoot based development, using Java 11, REStful API building
• Strong testing skills in JUnit, Mockito
• Experience in Gradle and Jenkins, CI/CD
As a plus we would see:
• GraphQL
• Liquibase, Spring JPA
• Spring Security
• Openshift or Kubernetes
• Avaloq knowledge
• Good communication skills and feeling at ease interacting with clients and solving issues with them
• Fluent in English
