Job Description:

What will you be doing?

  • Working with the engineering team to define and automate core cloud infrastructure. - Our current stack includes Kubernetes, Kafka, Java, and Node.js
  • Defining and implementing external connectivity, market data and service-to-service - messaging solutions
  • Implementing infrastructure as code
  • Defining and implementing cloud security policies
  • Participating in CI/CD pipeline design and deployment using Github Actions
  • Managing cloud costs + performance and providing direction to senior leadership
  • Learning and teaching – keeping your skills current and sharing your cloud knowledge - with others is a big part of the role
  • Managing cloud services using cloud vendor tools (e.g., AWS Management Console, Azure Portal etc.)

What you need to bring:

A good portion of the following:

  • Hands-on engineering experience with at least one of the major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)
  • Real-world experience delivering infrastructure-as-code in a production context (Terraform, Cloud Formation, Helm, etc.)
  • Experience with Docker, Docker Compose, Kubernetes or other containerization and orchestration technologies
  • Hands-on programming experience with a major language (Go, Python, Typescript, etc.)
  • Experience with DevOps tools for CI/CD: version control (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)
  • Experience with implementation of security best practices or a strong security mindset
  • Understanding of Linux system administration and networking concepts

  • 2nd - Speak to our Lead Engineer - (1 hour)
  • 3rd - Speak to our Director of Technology - (1 hour)
  • 4th - Speak to our CTO - (30mins)
