As a DevOps Engineer you’ll be part of an extremely agile team of engineers working with all the pieces of a system. From writing code to spin up cloud infrastructures to driving root cause analysis, all while making sure you have fun learning and building things.

This is a hybrid role and contractually requires you to be present in our office in Leicester at least twice a fortnight. Additionally, travel to other sites might be required.

You rock at:

  • One or more programming language such as Python, GO, Java or JavaScript
  • Roaming around a Unix system and pinpointing problem root causes
  • Feeling humble and motivated by being able to learn with and teach others
  • Being self-driven and working with little supervision towards a common team or company purpose

You are good at:

  • Understanding how the Internet and Web applications work over and under the hood
  • Highly scalable/transactional systems and infrastructures
  • Metrics, graphs and everything around monitoring
  • Amazon Web Services and/or Google Cloud Platform
  • Containers and orchestration frameworks such as Kubernetes
  • Configuration management frameworks such as Chef, Puppet or Ansible
  • Managing NoSQL data stores such as MongoDB and/or Elasticsearch
  • Writing code to make computers do things for you
