About the role:

Kiroku is looking for a mid-weight candidate to join the team as a UX/UI designer, working with our Lead Designer. Your role will include wire-framing, ideating solutions for user problems, UX design, UI design, and user interviews.

You’ll have the opportunity to take projects from start to finish, as well as collaborate on projects with our Lead Designer and our freelance designer. Initially the role will encompass both UX and UI work, but if you’re interested may evolve into specialising in one aspect (either UX or UI) as the team grows.

Speaking to users on a regular basis is an important part of the job, and we’re looking for someone who actively seeks out user feedback and enjoys face-time with the customer.

You will be working closely with a highly capable team, with direct contact with the founders and the tech team. This is a tremendous opportunity to join an amazing team working on the cutting edge of a major problem in the industry. The role is hybrid, you are welcome in the office as often as you want - currently, we ask that everyone comes in at least once a week.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for designing and maintaining screens in the Kiroku app
  • Attend brainstorms and meetings to come up with original and creative solutions
  • Able to clearly and confidently present your work in front of both internal team members and external users
  • Work collaboratively with different members and departments of the internal Kiroku team, working with product and also marketing on running optimisation product experiments
  • Test UX and UI solutions with users and dental partners
  • Regularly interview users
  • Clearly design and articulate workflow of screens, thinking of each eventuality to the very end
  • Invest heavily the user experience: using different methodologies of user research, mapping - user journeys, designing interactions

Requirements:

  • Extremely confident and familiar with either Figma, Sketch or XD
  • Be able to build visual prototypes in a tool ie Figma / Framer / inVision
  • A cool portfolio of work with context
  • A passion for understanding our user’s needs and using that to guide design
  • Experience in all aspects of the UX: research, ideation, facilitation, strategy, interaction design, information architecture, and visual execution
  • A history of shipping individual projects or as part of a team with tight deadlines
  • Be comfortable implementing a creative vision into a fast growing web app
  • A genuine love of design across a wide range of contexts and subjects
  • Empathy for users
  • Elementary understanding of HTML/CSS (or even better React)
  • Have unique ideas and approaches to design
