We’re looking for an experienced Product Owner to join our Mobile team and work on products which will transform how people control and be rewarded for their data online.

Product Culture at Gener8
At Gener8, our squad structure empowers self organising teams to focus on particular features or product areas. As a Product Owner, you’ll work in a cross-functional squad to determine the right things to build that deliver the most value to our customers and business. You will work closely with the team in both discovery and delivery to rapidly evaluate opportunities through user research, data analysis and experimentation, iterate on the proposal and lead features through to build. You’ll measure and communicate your impact based on outcomes rather than outputs.
The role
You’ll join a cross-functional squad responsible for building our Native Mobile apps which help users better understand their relationship with data and how they can be rewarded from it. The apps are currently launching an MVP with iOS leading and Android following closely behind. You will help define the next step for the applications with the support of stakeholders throughout the business to create a product roadmap that will challenge the status quo when it comes to data ownership.
In this role you will;
- Work closely with your squad to scope, build and measure innovative solutions, generate learnings and continuously iterate.
- Create and own an ambitious, outcome-driven product roadmap for your team, aligned with our wider strategy and vision.
- Prioritise ruthlessly, ensuring that the squad remains focussed on solving the most important problems and that you can communicate the rationale behind your decisions.
- Work with our data team to define metrics for measuring success and regularly monitor and report on the performance of products and new features.
- Lead stakeholder sessions to update on the squad’s progress, discovery/ experimentation findings and the impact of features shipped.
- Champion the product by internally communicating product launches and externally working with our marketing teams to inform and excite users .
- Stay on top of technological and industry trends, highlighting how we can proactively stay ahead of the curve.
Requirements
- Experience working with native mobile applications, an understanding of how iOS and android differ and what each operating system has to offer.
- Experience with Outcome driven innovation
- You are not afraid to pull the cord, if we are moving in the wrong direction you have the courage to call it out and make sure the team doesn’t waste time and resources on a dead end.
- A customer-centric attitude. Rather than just churning out average feature after average feature you have a desire to deliver something that will amaze and delight our users
- A proven ability to deliver a product and communicate the impact of what was delivered
- The ability to leave ego at the door
- A curious mindset, you are not afraid to ask questions and learn about the domain
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Able to communicate clearly with a mix of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and able to adapt quickly to new situations.
