About You

We are looking for a motivated Roku Developer to come join our agile team of professionals. Our ideal candidate will have experience implementing JavaScript applications with an emphasis on optimization to work with our customer; Europe’s leading media and entertainment brand.

The Roku Developer will play a key role in building out and maintaining the platform and building dynamic Roku applications with the opportunity to work on web development projects

Requirements

  • Experience in Roku Development using Brightscript
  • Knowledge of streaming technologies and previous experience in developing streaming applications is a plus.
  • Expert knowledge of JavaScript with a strong understanding of JavaScript fundamentals such as prototype inheritance, composition, CommonJS/AMD module systems using RequireJS.
  • Experience in building SVOD products is a big plus - streaming technology, video players, video, and streaming protocol.
  • Full-stack web development experience.
  • Good understanding of development methodologies, testing practices, and tools and knowing when to apply each method to achieve the desired outcomes.
  • You have experience with SDLC (software development life cycle) projects and are able to prioritize tasks and projects accordingly.
  • You have a working understanding of domestic and localized international versioning (multiple languages, Standards, and Practice review, and version management).

Nice to have

  • Experience in broadcast/broadband television, Video-On-Demand or SVOD
  • Strong interest in the media distribution business
  • You understand order management and media distribution workflows
