Job Description Your team

You will join a group of highly-skilled, motivated, and dynamic people who enjoy taking ownership and responsibility for their contribution to the Avaloq ecosystem. We value collaboration and knowledge sharing. We live agile processes, which assist us to continuously improve as individuals and as a team.

You will be part of a team responsible for the development of the Avaloq Wealth Platform, building a highly scalable platform to address the upcoming challenges of the Wealth Management industry.

What you will do

• Work collaboratively as part of a team and with Product Owners/Software Architects to build solutions to fulfil the product vision • Follow and promote best coding practices within the team • Perform code reviews and coach junior team members • Improve code quality via Unit and Integration testing

What you need:

• Extensive experience in Java, ideally in building Highly Scalable Applications using Microservices • Very good understanding of Design Patterns used in Java and Microservices Architectures • Experience with relational databases, Oracle, Postgres, JPA • Experience in Agile methodology • Expert in software development best practices such as application server configuration, testing, version control, continuous integration • University Degree in Computer Science or a related field. • Excellent communication skills • Interest in learning business-specific topics and processes • Experience with Git, Gradle and Jenkins CI tools

You will get extra points for knowledge of the following:

• Restful API design, OpenAPI 3.0 • Kafka, Protobufs • Liquibase • Docker, Openshift or Kubernetes • Avaloq or wealth management knowledge
