Monsoon Consulting is recruiting a Laravel Full Stack Developer to join our growing Development team in one of our Dublin office or remote. This is an excellent opportunity for a web developer to work with a team of exceptional strategic, creative and technical digital specialists.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• Reporting to the Product Owner and Product Development Lead, you will use agile / scrum methodologies to complete technical tasks as part of the overall delivery of product features • You'll focus most of your day turning new product specifications and high-fidelity designs into fully functional web apps. • When a task is finished and reviewed, you can present it to stakeholders and get quick feedback so you can iterate fast • You'll also be reviewing the work of other team members, ensuring that they are following common development best practices and guidelines before their work reaches customers • Conduct code reviews • Create, document and implement unit tests and scripts • Develop custom functionality to integrate Laravel (8.x) with third-party systems • Collaborate with colleagues from Design, Marketing, Development, Support and DevOps, clients and 3rd party service providers to develop new ways to enhance website functionality and conversion
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS
• Excellent programming skills in core PHP are required • 3+ years experience with Laravel 7.x ++, good understand of the functional and technical aspect of the application • Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming and Design Patterns • Knowledge of Git, MySQL, Nginx, Javascript and CSS (SASS and LESS) • Ability to debug complex PHP application (Xdebug, Profiler and others) • Experience with Web Services (REST/SOAP) and/or SOA • Development following PHP coding standards (PSR) • Experience with NoSQL databases and queue systems is required (e.g. Elasticsearch, Redis, RabbitMQ, etc.) • Knowledge of Docker or Vagrant is a plus • Knowledge of other PHP Frameworks is a plus (e.g. Laravel, Symfony, Zend)
