Key areas of ownership that you will drive forward for the organization personally, and collaborating cross-functionally:

Work as a member of the Platform Engineering team within the Software Engineering department to develop Alpha’s Data Aggregation, Data Integration and Data Warehousing systems
Develop high-quality technology solutions using a combination of custom developed and COTS systems in an AWS ecosystem with Redshift as our Data Warehouse Partner with other Engineering team members as well as Product and Analytics team members to develop and implement Data Models to facilitate both internal and client facing reporting
Develop data interfaces to exchange information with third party sources Collaborate on creating technical specs, documentation, and validation plans Propose and help implement improvements in our development process

Experience developing ETL systems in an AWS ecosystem utilizing both custom built systems and third party tools
Strong professional experience working with Python
Experience building automated data validation tools
Desire to work in Healthcare/Telemedicine
A bias for continuous delivery and continuous improvement
A sense of curiosity with a desire to learn as well as share your knowledge Comfort working in a dynamic, collaborative, startup environment on a path of growth

Within 1 month, you'll:

Meet with the Engineering, Analytics and Product Team members to get to know your colleagues
Learn about our Product and our Patients, Providers and other users of our platform to develop empathy for our user base
Join in on team Scrum meetings to learn our agile process Learn about our existing ETL and Data Warehousing processes and tools

Within 2 months, you'll:

Provide recommendations on low hanging fruit improvements to our existing ETL processes
Partner with Analytics and Product to understand needs for Reporting and Analytics tools 2.0
Evaluate potential ETL tools and make recommendation
Partner with colleagues to design the next version of the Data Warehouse

Within 3 months, you'll:

Begin implementation of next version of Alpha’s Data Warehouse utilizing selected ETL tools to support Alpha’s Internal Business, Clinical Analytics and Client Reporting needs
