Senior Software Engineer / Senior UI Engineer - Design System (mid level or snr) at FanDuel

Job Description:

FanDuel is looking for Senior Software Engineers & Mid Level Software Engineers to join our Design System vertical. You’ll be working within the Core Products & Experience domain developing and promoting a component library that will be utilised by many other teams within FanDuel Technology.

You’ll be a skilled front end or UI software engineer who has experience of building or working with an advanced design system. What you’ll do:

Everyone on our team has a part to play

As a Senior Software Engineer in our Design System vertical, you’ll be working on a highly visible and key greenfield initiative within FanDuel which is building a true partnership between engineering and design.

• Work in an empowered, multidisciplinary team, autonomously tackling complex challenges that provide the very best experience and products in a growing community
• Become a subject matter expert and the go to person for Formation, FanDuel’s design system Architect and write the very first lines of code for our design system and component libraries
• Propose pragmatic solutions to problems and make foundational technical decisions

You’ll bring experience of building and/or working with an advanced design system and demonstrate front end software engineering specialisation. Our Senior Software Engineers are able to lead smaller projects of work and contribute to the team’s design, scoping and prioritisation discussions.

• Experience of either building native apps using Kotlin or Swift; or web apps using React (JavaScript or TypeScript); or hybrid apps using React Native
• Understanding of Agile software development Quality and testing focused with your code
• Ability to coach and mentor other members of the team
