Frontend Engineer at Funding Circle

Responsibilities:

• Collaborating as part of an agile cross functional team, as well as technology chapters
• Building great user experiences for customers
• Delivering innovation through software to automate processes that enable Funding - Circle to operate at scale
• Using JavaScript (React + TypeScript)
• Supporting our production systems
• Mentoring more junior frontend engineers within the team

Requirements:

This role requires someone who has:

• Strong experience in Front End Engineering + JavaScript language fundamentals
• Hands on experience with React in a senior engineer role is key for this position
• Knowledge of other languages (such as Ruby, Clojure, Node) is a plus
• Strong fundamental programming skills (data structures, algorithms)
• Ideally good understanding of distributed systems and architectures
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, BDD, TDD and CI/CD
• It's a plus if you have proven experience mentoring/leading less experienced engineers
• Collaboration - Engagement with the InfoSec team and other stakeholders, comfortable doing this remotely
