Principal Backend Developer (PHP) 55k-65k DOE
My client are a leader in the Insurance and Warranty space and are looking for a Principle Backend Developer to join their new Senior Leadership team, you will be working from their offices in either Leeds or Harlow which you will be expected in for team meetings/lunches at least once per month.
You will be working alongside a Principle, QA, Frontend and DevOps Leads and together be managing a team over 80 Developers, you will have 12 direct reports.
The role will be 25% hands on whilst the rest of your time will be spent working on architectural decisions, design solution, technical governance and leadership, process design and coaching and mentoring the team.
You will have full autonomy of technical designs in regards to how the backend team works.
You will be working in a fast paced environment were knowledge sharing from all levels is highly valued, the culture my client fosters is very relaxed there are no set hours of work apart from standups you will be required in.
The ideal candidate will have the below skills:
• PHP • Symfony or Laravel • AWS • Experience in Scrum and Agile ways of working • Experience with MVC frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony or bespoke MVC frameworks. • Ability and willingness to learn and pick up new technologies. • Excellent leadership skills. • Excellent verbal and written English. • Salary for this role is £55,000-£65,000 DOE plus a ton of market leading benefits!
