Senior Backend Engineer at Frontrunner

About the role:

As a Senior Backend Engineer at Frontrunner, you will have an opportunity to build brand new systems, work with modern technologies, develop on the blockchain, and establish the coding culture and standards at Frontrunner while working closely with other engineers and the product team.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and implement core business logic including the prediction market system
• Design and develop public and private APIs supporting programmatic access to Frontrunner products and data
• Build and deploy services on the public blockchain
• Contribute to technology, architecture, and engineering process improvements
• Establish and evangelize best practices
• Mentor other engineers

About you:

• 4+ Years of Experience
• Professional experience with:
• Near-real-time systems
• Data storage technologies like PostgreSQL, NoSQL, or caches
• Object-oriented programming with Pytho, Rust, Java, C++, or similar
• AWS or other public cloud
• RESTful APIs or GraphQL
• FinTech or sports gaming industry experience is a plus

Interview Process

• Screening call with our Talent Acquisition
• Schedule a 2 hour block with 4 founders consisting of two technical screenings
• 45 minutes hiring manager interview
