TEC-TPE-ATR-XTC division The Platform eXcellence, Test Systems & Customer Services division holds the strategic mission to set and implement new standards on the Usability and User Experience on Amadeus Test, Training, and Business Continuity Systems.

Not only this is a competitive advantage to build long-term partnership with Customers on complex projects, but also a mandate to boost the efficiency of the development cycle of Amadeus products.

The division aims at delivering state-of-the-art services on Amadeus Test Systems, Customer Care but also solutions for management of non-functional requirements.

The division is deployed worldwide in several regional hubs for close interactions with R&D teams and Amadeus Customers.

TPE-ATR-XTC-ALT department The Automation of Lifecycle & Test Systems (ALT) department aims to be the Technology provider for the Operation and supervision of Amadeus Tests Systems. It also drives and contributes to major evolution and projects impacting the test systems and ensures the governance and communication of all activities happening on Test Systems.

TPE-ATR-XTC-ALT-LGA team Lifecycles Governance & Architecture (LGA) group is responsible of the coherence, improvements and evolution of the test systems. This group should ensure that all evolutions on test system ecosystem integrate all aspects of test systems and do not impact quality of services, costs to operate or security on tests systems.

The team is in charge to identify and manage transverse projects related to Open Back-End Test, Training, and Business Continuity systems (UAT, PDT, QCP, RED, BTPRD, MIG, SKL…) from business case to implementation. We also ensure the process governance and activity planning and communication to enable a high level of usability for internal users, operators, and customers.

Located in Nice and Erding, this team of Architects, Communication Specialists, Project managers works in close cooperation with a Bangalore counterpart, and in partnership with all stakeholders (DBA, Applications, Implementation, SRE, Architects, Product managers, ISM/IDM…) plus other XTC teams responsible for usability, services, platform quality and necessary tooling development.

Purpose

Test Systems architect

  • Manages on the technical side Test Systems and Disaster Recovery projects, in partnership with other members of the team (architects, project managers)
  • Has to coordinate technical studies, trasversal solution designs, proofs of concepts, manages the migrations and updates to applications and processes, drives communication of changes to end users and

follow up on architecture issues. Missions are: - Define a long-term vision for test and DR systems: infrastructure, test systems lifecycle data and configuration lifecycle, CI/CD, governance, stability, monitoring, tooling - Ensure Test Systems compliancy with applicable regulations (GDPR, PCIDSS, Russian Decree, US Embargo…) - Optimize resources and infrastructure of Test Systems, redefine test phases usage assignment (PPT, Production Data Recovery, Shift Left, …) - Ensure that all aspects of test systems evolution are covered such as full automation as code, recurring costs, etc… - These projects have a high visibility (Cloud Migration Program, CISO,…), Test Systems architect interacts with many stakeholders: Project Managers, Application managers, Developers, QA managers, up to VP level.

Key accountabilities

On top of software development engineer activities (user requirements definition, technical solutions design and coding, testing, software solutions debugging...) architect:

  • Is responsible for software architecture and infrastructure throughout the lifecycle development taking into consideration system constraints and enterprise architecture strategic directions
  • Directs and coordinates software architecture studies for their functional area
  • Identifies modelling, simulation and prototyping opportunities
  • Provides knowledge on state-of-the art software architecture, taking future developments into account
  • Articulates the design to the development teams
  • Selects appropriate design standards, methods and tools
  • Contributes to the architect community, educates, studies options, and recommends evolutions.

Education

University degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience English Relevant work experience High experience/education in IT / Computer Sciences Good knowledge of Amadeus core applications R&D environment (architecture, development, methodology, lifecycle). Previous experience in Amadeus as architect is very welcome. Developer experience is a must.
