Job Description:
The Role
The Mid-Weight Designer role will be to interpret and implement the creative vision for our Mobile App encompassing a broad range of projects ranging from digital, UI&UX, social and motion. The ideal candidate will have a strong, tradition design background which they will be comfortable (and enjoy) applying to digital.
A dynamic, thorough and enquiring approach will be required as the Mid-Weight Designer will be called on to be involved in (and balance the needs of) a wide range of projects and executions, with timelines ranging from the immediate to the long term. Fitting in as part of a wider, creative team, the ability to collaborate effectively is also a must.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- A strong design background
- A great eye and in depth understanding for UI and UX
- A high level of competence in Figma
- A high level of competence in the Creative Cloud Suite
- Experience building wireframes
- The ability to prototype
- Able to create and maintain design systems, style guides and documentation
- An understanding of the development process
- A high level of attention to detail
- A confidence in presenting ideas and concepts (internally and externally)
- Strong time management skills
Creation of digital design and assets for use on our app, website, social media platforms
Photography, Motion (Video), Post-Production in photo editing skills essential
Qualifications
- 3+ years in a professional design environment delivering digital apps (preferably for mobile)
- Adobe Creative Suite (In Design, Illustrator, Figma essential)
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- A strong understanding of the mobile app market
- Total familiarity with social media channels
- Traditional typography and print skills
- Flexible, Proactive and Passionate
- Additional digital skills (e.g. After Effects, Photoshop, GSuite) would be an asset but not essential.
Base salary: ~ £32,000 (applicant dependant)
