Job Description:

You will be joining an innovative and growing team, who have a number of exciting projects in the pipeline as part of a wider business change programme.

Main responsibilities include:

Development and maintenance of existing Intranet applications Providing direct support to colleagues using the various applications across the business Implementing new applications to support upcoming projects Troubleshooting, testing, and maintaining the core systems to ensure strong optimization, functionality and security Working with system administrators and other colleagues to identify new requirements Requirements include:

  • A strong technical educational background eg) Degree in Computer Science
  • Solid experience using PHP (7) and OO programming concepts
  • Hands on experience of at least one PHP framework (e.g. Laravel, Symfony, Yii2)
  • Basic knowledge of JavaScript, HTML and/or CSS
  • Basic knowledge of Linux administration tasks (e.g. CentOS, Red Hat)
  • Understanding of and experience with relational database concepts and SQL (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL)
  • Familiarity with version control systems and workflows (preferably Git)

Additional skills:

An understanding of security best practices (e.g. CSRF, SQL injection, script injection) Great communication skills, as you will be asked to provide direct support to users when required Experience with RESTful Services and API design Scripting skills (e.g. Bash, Perl, Python) The ability to prioritise tasks and daily activities effectively Automated testing Knowledge (e.g. PHPUnit) About us
