The Opportunity
We are looking for a Laravel specialist to join our API team to work on our Laravel API which powers all the experiences for customers at Adore Beauty. We have worked hard over the past few years to embrace our Headless customer experiences which means that our API is powering our App and Website today, and who knows what tomorrow will bring.
We have a small, but highly engaged team who are passionate about quality code that makes real impacts to our business. We provide the space for you to innovate, and leverage the Laravel eco system without any legacy systems to deal with - you provide the drive and ability to help build the future.
We have abstracted off all the devops by deploying Laravel to Vapor so you can focus on creating quality code which empowers the wider team to create amazing experiences for our customers.

The Role
At Adore Beauty, we build amazing products, so good in fact, we have won awards.. Now we have an enviable stack to work on for talented Laravel developers. We are all about headless, our front end is a NUXT microservice deployed to the edge communicating with our Laravel API. Our Native App is built in React Native and connects to the same API’s.
This role initially will focus entirely on Laravel, with no legacy platforms to worry about - this is the chance for you to make your mark in a fast growing business, creating awesome experiences for our customers and be part of a team who push the boundaries every day.

Who are you?
The successful candidate will be results-driven, collaborative, and able to work comfortably in a fast-paced experimental environment. You will have a strong sense of ownership and pride in the products you build and have a hunger for knowledge and continuous learning.
Technically speaking, you'll be from a test driven development background within the Laravel ecosystem. In addition:
3 + years Experience working with PHP and Laravel Are flexible and thrive working across different languages and technologies Modern PHP (7+) skills, good OOP practice and the ability to design and structure code that is maintainable and goes beyond simple MVC CRUD design Experience with REST and microservices Experience working in a product delivery environment Experience working in an Agile environment Have a support what you build mindset, ensuring we have the right amount of quality and production monitoring and sharing operational support responsibilities Are a strong team player that enjoys collaborating within their global team and across dependent teams to deliver ongoing value to customers Have a positive attitude with a sense of initiative, strong work ethic and passion for software craftsmanship and engineering practices You like to push boundaries, ask questions and seek challenges You know when to build from scratch and when to look for opportunities to partner with existing platforms If this role sounds like it will play to your strengths please apply now!
