Site Reliability Engineer (DevOps / Cloud Engineer)

Job Description:

Summary of the role:

Our mission as part of Amadeus Cloud Services (ACS) is to provide Platforms as a Service (PaaS) that will ultimately host all Amadeus compute workload. Thanks to our partnership with Red Hat, we aim at leveraging features offered by Kubernetes / OpenShift in order to provide a stable and reliable PaaS. Our team, ACS SRE, focuses on deploying and operating PaaS based on OpenShift.

• We provide services developed in the ACS organization on top of OpenShift: Orchestration, Deployment (as part of CI/CD), Configuration, Integration of the Amadeus specific environment.
• We are deployed on top of private or public IaaS (Open stack, GCE, AWS, Azure…) in a transparent way for the applications.
• We provide follow-the-sun support (including on-call) to application SRE teams

All these activities have to comply with strong security requirements and a focus on stability and automated recovery. Operation automation that follows ACS SRE guidelines and allows to scale and provide PaaS where needed by Amadeus business. Join us deploying and supporting Amadeus Cloud Services!    

Are you the next Site Reliability Engineering we are looking for?

In this role you’ll:

• Build, operate and scale OpenShift platforms (PaaS) in multiple regions – on premises and Azure
• Industrialize (automate) platform operations and deployment
• Lifecycle management of OpenShift clusters
• Provide consultancy to applications to assist migration to the platform --- Expertise in OpenShift/Kubernetes to troubleshoot network, security, infrastructure issues
• Manage the SLA of platforms at four nines’ (99.99 uptime)
• Build a FINOPS based operational model
• Using GITOPS to transform change management at scale.

About the ideal candidate:

• Education: Master’s in computer science or related field, or equivalent
• Relevant Work Experience: SRE or equivalent experience, with focus on support of complex production environments and automation
• Skills:
  • Computing: Kubernetes / OpenShift and Cloud technologies, scripting (Bash), python, ansible, GO, Jenkins Pipeline, System Administration, Linux, Virtualisation and containers, Networking      
  • Languages: English (oral or written)
