Position Description: Vocera is looking for a talented Atlassian Tools Administrator who will administer and manage the Engineering R&D production tools. You will also implement customizations, reporting, manage plugin-ins and support requests related to the tools. You will have the opportunity to assist with security, monitoring, and support of the Engineering technology infrastructure beneficial to all Research and Development lanes. This position reports directly to the Manager of Engineering Infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• You will administer and manage the Engineering R&D production tools, including JIRA and Confluence (Atlassian Suite Data Center editions), Artifactory, Slack, Crowd, Cloud, BitBucket, HAProxy Solarwinds, Jenkins, Perforce, and SVN

• You will support the administration and implement optimizations and changes, including version upgrades, server migrations, database changes, networking, and system-level changes

• Monitor server health and uptime of R&D production tools, ensuring coordination and responding to support requests

• Design and implement complex custom JIRA user configurations, including project workflows, field configurations, screen schemes, permission schemes, notification schemes, etc.

• Understand and implement permission schemes for production tools

• Recommend, install, configure, test, and manage Engineering R&D production tool instance plug-ins to meet organizational and project requirements

• Build complex custom filters using JIRA query (JQL) for setting up dashboards and generating reports

• Provide guidance and best practice solutions in order to improve the implementation of production tools

• Good experience with advanced global IT infrastructure technologies, including supporting software development team tools

• Inventive teammate, able to take initiative as well as adapt to new situations, analyze data from various sources, troubleshoot, and learn quickly to solve complex problems in a timely manner

• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance in a dynamic rapidly changing global enterprise environment

• Strong Linux System Administration skills with solid networking fundamentals, and a focus on TCP/HTTP load balancers (HAProxy and Apache)

• Solid ability to know the latest emerging advanced global IT infrastructure technologies, as well as SDLC and CI/CD tools, automation, and connectivity trends

• Proven ability to create and maintain effective documentation to support teams and processes

• Strong positive customer service mindset with an emphasis on continuous improvement.

• Knowledge of software development languages and life-cycle concepts, data structures, data management practices, and interfaces

• Solid understanding of server connectivity, interaction patterns and protocols

• Basic knowledge of various corporate security best practices.

• Strong work ethic and teammate with a passion to assist, support, and share knowledge with diverse teams across different time zones

Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Information Systems or related discipline, or equivalent

• 5+ years proven experience configuring, administrating, monitoring, and supporting the Atlassian product suite (specific focus on JIRA and Confluence administration and Data Center implementations)

• 2+ years experience with Linux System Administration (LPIC-1 Certification and Red Hat Enterprise Linux experience preferred)

• Demonstrated expertise configuring and supporting 3rd party add-ons

• Experience with Artifactory, Slack, Solarwinds, Jenkins, Perforce, and SVN preferred • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, including finding and resolving root cause

• Good understanding of the relational model for database management and experience with PostgreSQL

• Basic understanding of TCP/HTTP load balancer methodology, including experience with HAProxy and Apache

• Knowledge of ScriptRunner/Groovy scripting and previous DevOps and Altassian Certified ACP-100 preferred

• Proof of full Coivd 19 vaccination required
