The Role

As Moo scales its operations, we are breaking down our monolithic application and moving towards a microservices architecture. As a part of this journey, we decided to completely rebuild a part of our application in order to support a growing number of enterprise customers and have a B2B focused application.

Therefore, we are now expanding our Platform Engineer team to support with the continued challenges of ensuring the reliability and security of our applications and this need a Platform Engineer to join the team.

The Platform Engineer will be coming in to evangelise a continuous improvements ethos in the business to make sure we are ahead of the curve when it comes to the latest services and tools we can use to improve our ways of working.

You will be working with the engineering team to ensure the availability our web applications and ensure they have everything they need to be able to make multiple deployments a day.

Tech Stack: Our application is run completely in AWS and EKS with a view to move to a serverless architecture using Lambda. We use terraform and Ansible to manage our infrastructure.

The Success Platform Engineer will have:

We do not have a huge set of skills that we look for. All we ask is that you are a driven Platform Engineer that enjoys learning, solving complex problems, and have an appreciation for observability and reliability.

  • Experience supporting high availability applications running in AWS with an understanding of what it takes to ensure systems remain online.
  • Experience of automating the build and deployment of infrastructure working with Terraform and Ansible or similar.
  • Worked closely with engineers to support them in their ability to deploy applications to production.

Remote Working

MOO is a remote working enabled business with operations in the UK and US. We are open to hiring people to work remotely across the UK and US East coast however, we do require employees to come to the office 8 times a year, for team events and company all hands, all expenses paid.
