What will you do?
In this role, you primary responsibility will be working with the team to build world class website in line with Target values and for providing exceptional technical advice, governance, guidance with your extensive knowledge with AWS Services . Has fun and is imbued with a positive outlook – sees opportunities more than problems. Works hard to find a way to say yes, thinks long term and innovates continuously. This role is located at Target Support Office in Williams Landing.
Key responsibilities will include:
•To enforce code standards, drive best practices in the application and to ensure performance of the Target website is optimal.
•The position is also required to work with the technical leads, to provide a UI centric perspective when solutions are designed so that we move forward with the latest technologies and
•to ensure that the codebase remains maintainable and easy to develop
•Support and drive collaboration (brown bags, sharing, mentoring of staff) across teams
•Driving technology and practice that will help in continuous improvement, measured against the following metrics
•Actively participate in agile ceremonies
What are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in Mobile Web Development experience ,especially in Responsive Design.Working knowledge of cross-browser and platform consistencies/quirks and experience with MVC patterned frameworks is essential. We are looking for an innovator who thinks outside the box to introduce new methods, ideas and products. A team collaborater who enjoys supporting and developing teams and continuously improves the teams knowledge and skills and who works with purpose and passion. As a UI Developer we're looking for breadth of experience in a lot of technologies and expertise in various flavours of Javascript as it is important to be close to the code and always a contributor .
Other experience required to be successful are:
• 4+ years of experience participating in the delivery of technology services.
• A proven ability to learn new applications & technology
• Strong Experience with NodeJS and React Framework
• Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, JSON and XML
• Understanding of Progressive Enhancement to utilize HTML5/CSS3 when available
• Mobile web development experience, especially Responsive Design
• Working knowledge of cross-browser and platform consistencies/quirks
• Experience with MVC patterned frameworks
• Appropriate tertiary qualification
