Job Description:

FanDuel is looking for a mid level Software Engineer to join our Design System vertical. You’ll be working within the Core Products & Experience domain developing and promoting a component library that will be utilised by many other teams within FanDuel Technology.

You’ll be a skilled front end mobile developer or UI software engineer who has experience of building or working with an advanced design system and/or building component libraries.

What you’ll do:

Everyone on our team has a part to play

As a Software Engineer in our Design System vertical, you’ll be working on a highly visible and key greenfield initiative within FanDuel which is building a true partnership between engineering and design.

  • Work in an empowered, multidisciplinary team, autonomously tackling complex challenges that provide the very best experience and products in a growing community
  • Become a subject matter expert and the go to person for Formation, FanDuel’s design system
  • Architect and write the very first lines of code for our design system and component libraries
  • Propose pragmatic solutions to problems and make foundational technical decisions

What you bring:

You’ll bring experience of building and/or working with an advanced design system and demonstrate front end software engineering specialisation.

  • Experience of either building native apps using Kotlin or Swift (Android / iOS) or hybrid apps using React Native
  • Understanding of Agile software development
  • Quality and testing focused with your code

Location: Our Scottish tech hub is based in central Edinburgh and is fitted with fabulous amenities including a Gym, showers, bike parking, gaming pods, multiple breakout areas, meeting rooms, a roof terrace and much more. We operate a hybrid model for the majority of our roles, where team members come together at the hub as required. Applicants should be willing to travel to our Edinburgh Tech Hub from time to time.
