Our SMART social media products development team require a new Software Developer. We are a close-knit team developing and supporting SaaS products with full Devops capability and frequent releases. Working in an agile scrum environment, you will be joining an experienced Agile scrum team. This an excellent opportunity to work with a wide variety of technologies, participate in the full software development lifecycle, learn from your colleagues and bring your expertise and ideas to help us improve our products.

Note this role is home working with a requirement to travel to the Edinburgh office once a week Job title:

Job Description:

We’re supporting our clients as they adapt to a new world in the wake of COVID-19. We’re now recruiting for roles which will help our clients to deliver vital services and to resume business wherever possible.

What you’ll be doing:

The SMART team sits within Capita Consulting with access to expertise and support from across the business plus potential future opportunities that you would expect from a large progressive organisation

Responsibilities include:-

• Analyse user requirements, break down into work packages and refine

• Develop software to meet these requirements

• Automated and manual software testing

• Software release and deployment

• Software quality and process adherence

• Fault and performance analysis including 2nd line support of live systems

What we’re looking for:

• Have flexibility to travel for work, when required

• Have the right to work in the UK & have been a permanent UK resident for the last 3 years, ideally but minimum of 1 year, to meet security clearance/vetting requirements.

• Software development including user requirement and problem analysis

• Agile scrum methodology

• Proficiency in at least one language ie Python, c#, Javascript
