About Your Role

The purpose of the Junior Data Engineer – Data & Software role is to help achieve our AMS(Airspace Mobility Solutions) vision of becoming a data driven organisation. You will help achieve this by engineering, supporting and implementing changes related to Data for the AMS data squad as well as providing expertise on how to improve the data culture and literacy around the business

**This is a 12 months fixed term role with strong possibility to go permanent. **

  • Helping to drive the digital transformation particularly around Data

  • To assist with data activities including but not limited to DevOps, DataOps, data engineering, science, visualisation and reporting

  • To work with IS/IT, Thales Corporate Engineering (TCE), AMS teams, and any other applicable stakeholders on activities related to your area of expertise

  • To address the support requests, enhancement requests, problem reports, and requirements from the AMS business (through JIRA) and to report regularly on status and progress (within and outside of JIRA).

How About You?

• Formal qualification in Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent experience.

• Strong software engineering experience

• Experience in a customer service role

• Experienced with data methodologies and tools

• Experienced with DevOps methodologies and tools (Git, SCM, CI/CD)

• Experienced with AWS and/or Azure

• Experienced with Linux (RedHat) and Windows systems

• Web Development skills (HTML, CSS, XML, JS, Django)
