Backend Engineer at Customuse Ltd

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Backend engineer to join our team and help us scale from tens of thousands to 1m+ active users. As an integral part of our team, you will take this challenge head-on and help create the first ever consumer-grade Metaverse design tool.

Our Stack:

TypeScript, Nest.js, AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka, PostgreSQL, GitLab CI, IaC, React

In this role you will

• Make sure our infrastructure is scalable and observable
• Add the monetisation logic and backend
• Scale our referral system
• Build out our social functions (news feed, following, etc.)
• Build out 3D export pipelines on the backend
• Interact with the team for refinement sessions and planning meetings

Requirements

• 3+ years developing production TypeScript code
• Confident knowledge of Node.js programming and Nest.js framework
• Understanding and practical experience of Domain-driven design
• Experience working with high availability, large-scale distributed infrastructures
• Experience in building scalable applications with a large user base
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes
• Deep experience with Kafka (pipeline configuration)
• Confident knowledge of PostgreSQL (scaling, schemas, migrations)
• Strong software testing principles
