Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a manager of the software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.

Leads a specialized area which may have diverse functional elements. Frequently interacts with supervisors and/or functional peer group managers. May interact with senior management. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Typically one year of software engineering or related experience.

Basic Qualifications

• 12+ years of relevant engineering experience • 3+ years of people management experience, managing engineers • B.E./B. Tech/ MCA with at least 12+ years of experience or M.E./M. Tech in Computer Science with similar experience

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a talented Software Engineering organization to deliver innovative, enterprise quality products built on a foundation of architectural and engineering excellence. Experience leading a strong SW solution development team with programming languages such as Java, Python and system programming skills. • Ability to handle multiple disciplines for the product including Quality, Validation, Automation and Solution teams besides SW Development. Experience with cloud technologies like Kubernetes, Containers, Microservices. Strong Software development process, product development lifecycle, agile development, Dev OPS CI/CD, packaging and release domain skills. • Passionate about the customer experience, providing a great experience for the users. Hire critical talent. manage, grow and enable talent in org. • Candidate will be responsible for managing the design, implementation, integration, debug, build, program schedule, validation and sustaining software applications targeting reuse, cloud enablement, simplification, and continuous quality improvements.

• Recruiting staff, training, and developing top delivery leadership and individual contributor talent • Coach and motivate the team to ensure high productivity and teamwork, and help unfold team members potential • Encourage and drive organization-wide initiatives, which promote innovation and technical excellence and increase the efficiency, effectiveness, and business outcomes of the organization • Excellent people management skills with solution development background- communication, teamwork, and leadership • Strong knowledge in 4G/5G architecture, standards, implementation, and ecosystem • In depth knowledge & experience working with virtualization solutions like Vmware, Openstack, Kubernetes • Must have excellent development experience in 5G (AMF,SMF, UPF, NRF,AUSF,PCF etc..) mobile core • Should have Excellent knowledge of 3GPP Standard for 4G/5G Mobile Core • Knowledge of protocols like HTTP/2, and JSON/REST. • Should have very good understanding of the Virtualization/Containerization • Solid experience in high scalability projects involving cloud-based infrastructure design and implementation. • Strong Multithreaded programming and debugging skills • Strong Programming and debugging skills on Linux. • Ability to quickly isolate and troubleshoot issues. • Experience in Jira, Git and Confluence will be an additional advantage • Good exposure to Container/ Micro-service infrastructure tools such as Kubernetes, Celph, Helm, Docker, Cloud Native etc.. • Comfortable multi-tasking in a fast-paced, agile team environment. • Proficient in scripting languages including Bash, Python and JavaScript a plus. • Experience with CI/CD pipelines. • Experience in communicating with various operators will be an additional advantage. • Excellent written and oral communications skills. • Proficient in Development Using Java Springboot
